Accountability Is Elusive

When my abuser was asked about his abuse he became violent. The “investigators” saw his anger as a sign that he was telling the truth. When I was asked about the abuse I remained calm and explained it in detail. Me being calm was seen as “fake”. Of him, they said, “he had a reaction that can’t be faked”. Anger, they validated his story based on his escalation of anger to violence. The whole problem is that he is abusive. It doesn't matter how I communicate, the result is always the same, apathy. The consequences are innumerable.

As long as there is no accountability there will never be stability, anywhere.
