The silence

deafening

We are human beings

though many

don’t see us that way

What kind of entity

thinks it’s okay

To dominate me

for any flimsy reason

But particularly

simply because I live and breathe

The funniest thing

You use advanced technology

Unlimited funding

Advanced weapons

Economic oppression

Violence and hate

in the extreme

All to suppress me

Stating the whole time

it’s all fake

Why so much energy

to keep me from thriving

If you’re so superior

that is

If you own everyone and

everything

Why did you have to force me

to produce for you

If you’re superior

you wouldn’t need me

for anything
