Whole Picture Poetry

Don’t Ask Why, You Should Know

Can you imagine being so delusional

That you look at me and say

“She’s so negative”

“She did it to herself”

“Why” did she do this

“Why” did she do that

If you don’t know how hard it is to survive

In this world with Black skin

Then shame on you

You’re brainwashed just like those who say

Systemic Oppression is fake

After all I have been through

After all I have overcome

After all I have done

Doing things no one has ever done

But you have nothing to say

To the abusers

Yet you think I am the one who is sick

That’s it

That’s all

There is nothing more that needs to be said

You can’t even face your own mind

But you think you can judge and condemn me

Because you project your own

Insecurities when faced with

Cognitive dissonance

GTFOH

Most of you have degrees

In this very subject

So what on Earth were you learning

I know who I am

Where I have been

And where I am going

If you did

Your thinking would reflect it

So would your speech

As well as your actions

Instead

You prove who and what you are

Fake

A liar

A sellout to evil

A slanderer

An abuser

But you claim to be an advocate for justice

What a joke

The truth shines through ultimately

Lies can’t remain hidden forever

The truth will always be

And the truth always finds a way

Everything you say becomes quicksand

Because you can’t stop lying

Throwing stones

Then hiding your hand

Disgusting

Claiming to be so superior

Smiling all the way to the bank

DISGUSTING THINGS

IN HIGH AND LOW PLACES

DISGUSTING THINGS

CO-OPTING THE LIVES OF OTHERS

LYING, SCHMING, MANIPULATING

APPROPRIATING

Claiming superiority

Because you call yourself

“Religious”

The Cosmos has an answer for that

Looking forward to seeing it unfold

It couldn’t happen to a better person

Such “good people”

What a joke

That’s what the lawyer said

About the father molesting

His own INFANT

My anger and wrath

About such abuses

Labeled a mental illness

Not the abuser

Not their minions

Not their flying monkeys

Not their supporters

But the only person trying to protect the baby

And doing so without being violent

SMH

But you can’t see through this

And I’m the one who is sick

GTFOH

Because “it’s HIS child

He has the ‘right’

To do as his urges tell him”

No

He doesn’t!

We are all born individuals

With our own unique bodies

Our own unique destinies

Just because we are vulnerable

Does not mean you have the right

To violate what life gives to us

Which is inalienable

That no one can take

DIGUSTING THINGS

IN HIGH AND LOW PLACES

You deserve to receive

All that you have created

In the lives of those

Searching for justice

I Am She

Who Causes To Be

So let it be

Today

Tomorrow

Forever and ever and ever

In every timeline

On every dimension

In every destiny

And those who turn away

Saying “what a shame”

Claiming I am cursed

Because trauma has occurred

What ignorance

Thinking yourself superior

Above what you claim your own God made

SMH

You don’t even believe the things of

Your own religions

Nothing but liar

Slanderers

Thieves

Aiding abusers

Taking from the most vulnerable

In the community

Participating

In “Patriot Games”

Claiming religious exemption

May you reap what you have sown

For everything

There is a time and a place
