While denying my humanity

You are still demanding

Of me

Wanting me to show empathy

To the very people STILL torturing

Not only me

But my entire ethnic community

Purging

Hunting

Eradicating

Driving us to extinction

In plain sight

Daily

You want me to ignore

All the pain

Suffering

Trauma

Torture

Tragedy

To prioritize your demands

Over my humanity

Over my children’s ability

To survive, thrive, succeed

My entire community at stake

Yet you want me to move past

All the crimes

All the blame

All the slander

All the games

So that you can escape

Freely

With no accountability

Amazing

You obviously do not know me

You underestimate the lengths

My handlers went to

Just to stop me

From being me

Holding me back

So that I could finally unleash

But not until that appointed day

You mistake me

I know my identity

Though you feel the ripple affects

You lack the critical thinking
