Would you be okay with Black Americans mocking your precious Jewish state in any way? No, as you said you are a staunch defender of both that and enslavement. I was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I left the congregation as an adult, but they will always be in my heart. WE TOO WERE ERADICATED IN THE HOLOCAUST. DO YOU KNOW WHAT A PURPLE TRIANGLE IS? WOULD YOU BE OKAY WITH THAT HISTORY BEING TAUGHT?????
I grew up with, was taught by, mentored by, loved by, and protected by many Jewish brothers and sisters in our community who escaped the holocaust. They loved and trusted me so much the saw fit to pass down their traditions, language, history, and tears as they showed me the brands on their arms and detailed the horrors they escaped. YOU DON’T FORGET THINGS LIKE THAT!
Every time you attack the Black community, I shed a tear for them as they informed me was their expectation. Some of them had no family, lost children, grandchildren, siblings. I BECAME THEIR FAMILY. WHEN AN ELDER IMPARTS PIECES OF THEMSELVES TO ME AS I WAS PRIVILEGED TO HAVE THEM DO, I TAKE IT VERY VERY VERY SERIOUSLY. BECUASE THAT WAS THEIR EXPECATION. “If I share my story, it’s your burden to carry.” Am I triggered right now? You better believe I am! Enough that I am actually sobbing because I cannot think of them without remembering their struggles and the immense pain. That kind of evil is suffocating. Black people STILL can’t breathe yet you seem to think it’s funny. Because I shared myself with them, and they with me, THEY FOUGHT FOR ME LIKE I FOUGHT FOR THEM! I did so at my own peril, because I stand for what’s correct.
IF THEY WERE STILL ALIVE, THEY WOULD CERTAINLY TELL YOU HOW IGNORANT AND FASCIST YOU ARE BEHAVING. The Jewish brothers and sisters who helped raise me in Northern VA in the 80s and 90s were a very strong and proud people who ALWAYS STOOD AGAINST FASCISM AND RACISM OF EVERY KIND. We ate together, cried together, remembered together, celebrated together, kept the Passover together (because yes, Jehovah's Witnesses do this too), celebrated and remembered other Jewish traditions together. HOW DARE YOU! If they were here, that is what they would say. If they saw me crying right now, they would be on your a** like every Jewish grandmother, aunt, sister, and mother did every time someone attacked one of us! All the men RIGHT THERE at their sides. I FEEL THEM WATCHING OVER ME NOW! PROUD FOR STANDING UP AGAINST HATE PRECISELY THE WAY THEY TAUGHT ME TO.
I had people of EVERY community target me because of my close relationships with them, you know what I did? I STOOD FOR THEM, PROUD, STRONG, AND ANGRY THAT ANYONE WOULD TARGET THEM!
If they were still alive, they would join me in condemning your behavior right now. In fact, they are the ones who taught me how to do so respectfully to those among the Jewish community who think it okay to be racist, fascist, and genocidal. I grew up listening to them teach me about their experiences and instructing me to carry on the fight for freedom. They were my family. Unlike you, they knew loyalty, love, and spirituality.
THE STRUGGLE COTNINUES. AS LONG AS YOU THINK IT OKAY TO BE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF YOUR OWN HISTORY, I’LL MAKE SURE I CONTINUE THE TRADITION OF CONDMENING SUCH FILTH, JUST AS THEY TAUGHT ME TO!
