The Tone Police
America has decided that the best way to address the fall-out from 2020 is to “tone down” what comes across as “negative” or “low quality” content and communications. But who is deciding what is “negative” and “low quality”? The same people who amplified hate to create the conditions of 2020. The insurgency has gone NOWHERE, it’s fully entrenched and this current administration has helped to establish that. Knowingly, willingly. That is what it means to be under the grip of a corrupt government that uses systemic oppression to maintain control. We’re just not allowed to talk about it. How is this helpful? Suppressing the truth during a genocide doesn’t help anyone other than those operating the holocaust, but America doesn’t want us to use those words. Why? Accountability.
If just a tiny bit of those resources were redirected toward the people who are actually engineering harm, the world be a much better place. Instead, what we get is extremely violent resistance to disclosing the truth about the reality we are forced to endure. How is this helpful?
