Black American

When you deny my human rights

YOU are the aggressor

YOU are the offender

YOU are the abuser

YOU are the pretender

YOU are the creator of chaos

Against such things I must defend

You can choose

in various ways

Accept reality and change

make better waves

Or you can embrace the chaos

create misery

Then the offender you are

the stealer of dreams

the harmer of human

the enemy of friends

the one who devalues life

the one who always betrays

particularly until the end

YOU are the undesirable

calcified by old endings

YOU are the one stuck

on days long since gone

the one who can’t adapt

because rigidness is your outlet

YOU are a spider weaving a web

I simply point out the flaws in your design

because when you violate my human rights

its’ my life on the line

I’m the one stuck with the consequences

when you see the truth then reject

I am the one who is impacted

when you fail to understand

when you fail to accept

I am the one who takes a tumble

when you choose apathy

I am the one who struggles

because your attacks come constantly

When you violate my human rights

you steal my life one attack at a time

I am compelled to fight for my survival

If I didn’t I would have lost my mind

I am compelled to defend my life, love, liberty

I am compelled to voice my opinions

as it is my right so says the Constitution

but YOU think you can override me

YOU put yourself in the place of judge, juror, and executioner

YOU put yourself in God’s seat

YOU told yourself a lie

then proceeded to act out according to a dream

YOU choose to violate my human rights

because YOU fail to grasp reality

Any HuMan who lives has every right to defend their life,

love, liberty

YOU make yourself a stumbling block

trying to deny me my birthright

YOU choose the life you want

YOU choose accountability

You can let the world lull you

into a hypnotic dream

Convincing you that your abuse is okay

Convincing you to behave brutally

We all make these choices for ourselves

some for heaven

some for hell

But if you choose to violate my human rights

Know that I will defend myself

vehemently
